The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) launched Saa₹thi 2.0 Mobile App on Monday (3 June, 2024), an upgraded app designed to simplify personal finance concepts for investors.

In a press release on Monday, SEBI said, “The updated “Saa₹thi” app introduces a user-friendly interface with comprehensive tools aimed at simplifying complex financial concepts.”

Features of Saa₹thi App

Here are some additional features of the Saa₹thi App which are included in the upgrade are as follows:

Financial Calculators: The tool will be helpful for planning investments and calculating retirement savings.

Educational Modules: Learn about key investment topics like KYC procedures, ETFs, mutual funds, stock trading, and how to file complaints while facing any issue.

Informative videos: Watch engaging videos that provide insights and assist with personal finance planning.

The Saa₹thi app also provides reliable and important insights into the securities market, making it especially helpful for young investors just starting their financial journey.

At the launch event, Shri Ananth Narayan G, Whole Time Member, said, “In today’s era, where social media sometimes provides biased or misleading information, there is a significant need for an unbiased, objective, and trusted source of investment information. The Saa₹thi app serves this purpose by empowering investors with reliable and essential insights into the securities market. This tool can be especially useful for young investors who are at the beginning of their financial journey.”

He further said, “The content within the app is dynamic, allowing us to keep pace with the rapidly evolving market conditions. We actively seek public suggestions to further refine and enhance the Saa₹thi app, ensuring it continues to serve our investors.”

The first version of Saa₹thi was launched in January 2022, aiming to reach investors who often use their mobile phones for transactions.

But a recent upgrade in the app will enhance more dynamic features which will aim to simplify complex financial concepts.

The “Saa₹thi” app can now be downloaded from both the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store.
