Media reports claim that several investors are looking for Ayodhya-themed stocks and Ayodhya Stocks List! But what are these stocks?

Well, Ayodhya-themed stocks are stocks of companies that are likely to gain from the economic windfall expected to hit Ayodhya in near future.

As per an ET report, some stocks that are in focus due to Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya include: Apollo Sindoori Hotels; Praveg, a luxury tent company; Genesys International, a mapping technology solutions provider; Indian Hotels; IRCTC; Indigo.

Now to the BIG question.

Should you buy Ayodhya-themed stocks?

First thing first. I believe investing in any stock is an individual choice. You should make such a choice after doing thorough research or consulting a SEBI-registered analyst.

Therefore, I can ‘t recommend on whether you should buy “Ayodhya Stocks” or not.

However, I would like to share a broad observation around the risks of investing basis short term trends, which may help you.

But first, you should understand that Ayodhya Ram Mandir inauguration is a religious event. And we should not mix investing or money-making with religion and spirituality.

As far as investing is concerned, one should avoid chasing trends that do not gel with your chosen investment strategy and long term goals.

There is always a big risk in making your investment decisions based on short-term trends.

Even if someone is invested in stocks being reported in media as “Ayodhya-themed stocks”, gains or losses from such stocks will depend on a lot of other factors.

It’s not certain that all these stocks would continue to gain prices. For instance, not all of these shares were in the Green at the time of writing today.

As per data on the BSE website, shares of Indigo, IRCTC and Genesys International closed the trading day on 11 January in the Red!
