From 1st July, 2024 several banks including HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and State Bank of India (SBI) have updated their credit card services. These changes include adjustments in reward points, discontinuation of certain charges, and other benefits.

SBI Card Credit Card Rules Update
SBI Card will stop offering reward points on government-related transactions for certain credit cards.

Here is a list of SBI bank credit cards where reward points will no longer be usable for government-related transactions from July 15, 2024, according to SBI Card website.

ICICI Bank Credit Card Charges Update
ICICI Bank has announced modifications to several credit card services from 1st July 2024. One notable change is the increase in the card replacement fee from Rs 100 to Rs 200 for all cards, except the Emerald Private Metal Credit Card.
Here are the ICICI Bank credit card charges that will be discontinued:
- Cheque/Cash Pick-Up Fee: The Rs 100 per pick-up fee will be discontinued.
- Charge Slip Request: The Rs 100 fee per charge slip will be discontinued.
- Dial-a-Draft Transaction Fee: The 3% deduction of the draft value amount, with a minimum cost of Rs 300, will be discontinued.
- Outstation Cheque Processing Fee: The 1% fee of the cheque value, with a minimum of Rs 100, will be discontinued.
- Duplicate Statement Request (Beyond 3 Months): The Rs 100 fee for duplicate statements will be discontinued.
Citibank Credit Cards Update
Axis Bank has informed Citibank credit card customers that all accounts, including credit cards, will be migrated by July 15, 2024.
Axis Bank has sent an email notifying customers that their Citi-branded cards will continue to function seamlessly until they receive their new Axis Bank credit cards, expected within a few months after the migration, by the end of the year.
Key Points
- Points Accumulation: Points accumulated until the migration date will never expire.
- Post-Migration Points: Points earned after migration will expire after three years. For example, points earned on August 10, 2024, will expire on August 10, 2027.

HDFC Bank Credit Card Rules Update
HDFC Bank has introduced new charges for credit card rent payments made through platforms like CRED, Paytm, Cheq, MobiKwik, and Freecharge. From 1st August 2024, customers will be charged a 1% fee on rent transactions, with a maximum charge of Rs 3,000 per transaction.

Tata Neu Infinity HDFC Bank Credit Card
From 1st August 2024, customers using this card will earn 0.5% back in NeuCoins on eligible UPI transactions. Additionally, using Tata Neu UPI ID for transactions will earn an extra 1% back in NeuCoins.
