State Bank of India (SBI), the largest bank in India, has revised its annual maintenance charges for debit cards. Effective from April 1, 2024, this revision will impact Classic, Silver, Global, Platinum, and Contactless debit cards, according to information on SBI website.
Furthermore, revised charges will also affect Yuva, Gold, and Combo Debit cards. Alongside the annual maintenance charges, SBI has also revised fees related to the issuance and replacement of debit cards.

Apart from revision in its annual maintenance charges, SBI has notified changes in issuance fees and other service charges for debit card holders. SBI account holders, are required to pay Rs 300 (minimum) for applying for a Platinum Debit card, whereas no charges are imposed for the issuance of Classic, Silver, Global, and Contactless Debit Cards.
SBI account holders are required to pay Rs 25 along with GST for enquiry at ATMs under International transaction charges. Other international transaction charges include a minimum of Rs 100 and 3.5% of the transaction amount for ATM cash withdrawal transactions.

From April 1, SBI has announced the suspension of reward point accrual on rent payment transactions for certain credit cards. Additionally, for some credit cards, the accumulation of reward points on rent payment transactions will expire on April 15.
