Every year Skytrax, an independent air transport research organization based in the United Kingdom, hosts the World Airport Awards. Skytrax conducts passenger surveys and evaluates airports worldwide to determine the winners of these prestigious awards.
As per reports, in the 2024 World Airport Awards, Doha Hamad International Airport was selected as the best airport in the world beating Singapore’s Changi Airport.
Singapore Changi Airport is well known for being one of the busiest passenger hubs in Southeast Asia. With exceptional facilities, efficiency, and passenger experience it has stunning architecture, entertainment options, and award-winning services. It has been consistently ranked among the top airports globally but unfortunately not this year.
World Ranking of Indian Airports
Taking about Indian airports in the list of the world’s best airports, only 4 airports made it to the top list, while just one airport was in the top 50.
Delhi airport remained 36th on the list, while Mumbai airport barely made it into the top 100 best airports list, dropping to 95 from 84 the previous year.

Bengaluru Airport rose ten places in the top 100 best airports ranking, to 59 from 69 in the previous year. According to Skytrax World’s Top 100 Airports for 2024, Hyderabad airport rose from 65th to 61st place in 2023.
