Vistara airline’s popular frequent flyer program Club Vistara is soon going to merge with Air India’s Flying Returns program. Tata Sons, which owns both Vistara and Air India, plans to complete the integration by the end of this year.  

Vistara airline is a joint venture of Singapore Airlines and Tata Sons. The proposed merger is awaiting regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

On Thursday (May 16), Vistara airlines told Club Vistara users that their account will be migrated to Air India’s Flying Returns program. However, Club Vistara program will continue to exist till the integration of both airlines is complete.

Changes Expected As Club Vistara Merges With Flying Returns

Vistara provided the following information to Club Vistara members. This will become effective after the migration.

Tier Status: According to Vistara’s email, you can retain your current Club Vistara tier status or get an upgrade if you qualify based on cumulative points.

CV Points and Tier Points Balance: Your Club Vistara (CV) points and tier points will transfer to the Air India Flying Returns program at a 1:1 ratio. These points will remain valid for at least one year from the migration date, even if they were set to expire sooner.

Future Bookings: All future bookings will be transferred, and you and your nominees will receive updated flight details after the migration.

Vouchers: Any valid, unused one-class upgrade vouchers and complimentary flight ticket vouchers will be transferred to Flying Returns with their current validity.

Co-Branded Credit Cards: Updates will be provided in the coming weeks. Experts suggest the existing cards may be canceled, and new cards will be issued by banks partnering with Air India.

With Air India joining 25 other airlines in the Star Alliance, including Air Canada, South African Airways, Swiss Air, and Lufthansa, Vistara travelers will be able to enjoy numerous perks and benefits. Here’s how the merger may benefit you:
