How to Resolve the CrowdStrike BSOD Issue?
The recent BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) issue on Windows 10 is caused by an update to the CrowdStrike Falcon software. CrowdStrike has provided a temporary manual solution while they work on a permanent fix. Here’s what you need to do:
- Boot Windows into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment (WRE).
- Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike.
- Find and delete the file matching “C-00000291*.sys”.
- Reboot your computer normally.
This fix is temporary, as CrowdStrike and Microsoft are expected to release an official update to resolve the issue soon.
