ICAI CA Inter, Final Exam Date Extension/Postponement Issue Latest News: The Delhi High Court today dismissed a plea seeking postponement of ICAI’s CA Inter and Final exams scheduled in May.
The Delhi HC was was hearing a petition seeking the postponement of CA Inter and Final exam in view of upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Stay tuned for Updates.
Following the court’s decision, the ICAI is expected to go ahead with the exam schedule for CA Inter and Final exams.
In view of upcoming elections, several Chartered Accountancy aspirants have been demanding a postponement of their exam dates.
ICAI CA Inter, CA Final Exam dates 2024
The CA Inter and Final examinations will be held in May, as per the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The current dates for CA Inter Group I exams are May 3, 5, and 8. For Group II, the dates are May 11, 15 and 17.
CA Final Group I exams will be held on May 2, 4 and 8. For Group II CA Final exam, dates are May 10, 14, and 16. The International Taxation-Assessment Test will be held on May 14 and 16.

Some CA aspirants were hoping that the Delhi High Court will postpone the exams from May to June 2024.
“Considering continuous requests & hardships of CA students, we have filed a petition in Delhi HC seeking rescheduling of CA Exams from May to June 2024. HC is likely to hear it on Monday. CA students, please focus on studies. Matter is before the Court now. Let Court decide,” advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava had said on X (formerly Twitter) on April 4.
In past, ICAI had changed the dates for CA Inter and Final Examinations due to Lok Sabha Elections.
