The good news will help frequent flyers who may find themselves stuck in delayed flights from today.
The new rule has been announced by aviation security watchdog Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS)
The new rule will allow exit of passengers from an aircraft through an airport departure gate if there is a long delay after boarding.
The new guidelines will reduce the harassment passengers face after getting stuck in a flight for hours.
Passengers will not have to keep sitting inside an aircraft for long hours after boarding because of the new rule.
However, airport operators will have to make arrangements to ensure the implementation of the new rule .
