Finance Comic on May 21: First Indian goes as a tourist to the space

Blue Origin's New Shepard made history with its NS-25 mission, lifting off from West Texas with a diverse crew, including Gopichand Thotakura, the first Indian space tourist, and Ed Dwight, the first Black astronaut.

This marked the program's return to space tourism after a two-year hiatus. The flight received widespread attention on social media as the crew enjoyed weightlessness and breathtaking views of Earth's curvature.

Notably, Dwight, at 90 years old, became the oldest person in space, surpassing William Shatner's record.

The six-member crew also included Mason Angel, Sylvain Chiron, Kenneth L. Hess, and Carol Schaller.

Blue Origin's space tourism efforts aim to expand human exploration beyond Earth, with aspirations for lunar exploration partnerships with NASA in the future.

New Shepard, named after Alan Shepard, has now carried 31 individuals beyond the internationally recognized boundary of space, including notable figures like William Shatner and Michael Strahan.

The program promises an unforgettable 11-minute journey for astronauts and research payloads alike.
